The Source of Hope to celebrate five-year anniversary
DALLAS, TX. — The Source of Hope is honored to celebrate its five-year anniversary. The celebration will take place April 13, 2018 at Zander’s House located at 2300 North Central Expressway, Plano, TX, 75074. The event will begin promptly at 7:00 PM with a VIP reception, keynote speakers, buffet dinner and an award presentation. Tickets are complimentary, however; an RSVP is mandatory in order to ensure enough seating is in place. Guests can look forward to a fun, entertaining night as we celebrate this milestone. The Source of Hope is excited for this next year and cannot wait to see what else is in store as we continue to grow and expand, helping others in need throughout the DFW area.
“I can remember five years ago when we started with nothing but a mission to help others succeed,” said Quynh Chau “QC” Stone, founder of The Source of Hope. “We are humbled and honored for all the love and support everyone has shown us through the years. We thank you and we want to celebrate you so we hope to see you there!”
The Source of Hope is a 501(c)(3) organization, established in 2013, focused on empowering low-income cosmetology students from all walks of life by aiding through education programs, grants, and scholarships. In addition, they provide hope to the local community with free or reduced cosmetic services and various social outreach programs. Denton County Homelessness 2016 Report
The new year is bringing with it new concerns about the homeless problem in Dallas.
As city leaders head back to work Tuesday, homelessness will be one of the hot topics of conversation.
The closure of tent city near downtown last May did nothing to change the homeless landscape. Many of those on the streets moved east and made the overpass under I-30 and Haskell their new home.
Last year, 31% of the homeless in Collin County were children, and 37 of the 112 kids were between 5 and 10 years old.
City staff and citizens from Plano, Allen, Frisco and McKinney will “hit the streets” on Thursday, January 21 to conduct the annual Homeless Census.
McKINNEY — In Collin County, the face of homelessness is a family.
